for those who want to move to france and work in london....i read that capacity will be increased in November and this may lead to a change in pricing structure to encourage cross country commuting. france needs the development and london needs lower cost housing for workers etc.

  1. may be...

  2. i doubt if there will ever be total commuter pricing on Eurostar, the distance is just too far and the price would rise too much, lets face it I live on the Surrey / Sussex border 1 hour from London by train and the commuter price for a Standard Day Return is almost £25 so I think the price of Eurostar is quite reasonable.

Also capacity to start a Commuter Service, when 50% of the Track has already been promised to the South East Franchise for faster commuter traffic from the Kent area will cause some bottlenecks.

  3. yeah, and as soon as the plans to do this are announced the greedy property speculators will be snapping up all the houses in the Pas de Calais, pushing prices up so high that nobody will be able to afford to live there anymore

  4. Why do you want to pay higher prices. UK commuter prices are the highest in the world. We should be campaigning for sensible fares to compete against the cheap air fares.
