  1. gas prices will keep rising as demand for them stays the same.  because so much gas is guzzled in the us, prices are high.  think about it, when more people want something, the seller will only let it go for the highest price people will buy it for.  also, many developing countries are rapidly increasing demand for gas such as China.  Those countries increase the demand, shifting the demand curve right, raising the prices.  Right now, oil companies are able to limit the supply so that they can make more money.  for example, i would be able to sell an apple for more money if it was one of the last apples on earth.  limiting supply also increases the price.  prices will only decrease when people stop using so much gas.  Also, once alternative fuels are developed, they will cause a substitution effect.  people will figure, why pay so much for gas when i can pay for this new cheap fuel.  in order to compete with the alternative fuel, oil companies and gas stations will lower their prices to maintain sales.  I have notices that $4 per gallon where i live is starting to discourage the demand for gas (chicago).  it should have been too expensive already.  over the next few years expect gas prices still to rise, but the rate slow noticeably.  once alternative fuels are developed, prices will start decreasing. or even when oil companies are desperate for a buck.  when that will be, i don't know.

  2. when h**l freezes over.......

  3. Shortly after our oilman/president leaves office on 01/20/09

    Have fun

  4. until bill gates buys all the gas and donates it to us.

  5. When practically no one needs gasoline anymore.

  6. It will probably go down right before the elections and then a few weeks later, it will go back up again.  It's happened before

  7. Never. That's why we need to use alternatives and use less fuel. The fact is, there is a limited supply of oil, we cannot make more. Most of the frontrunning alternatives are also renewable (biofuels, electric, and hydrogen).

  8. probably never which sucks

  9. When Congress regulates the Commodities Speculators who are involved.  Without them, fuel prices would probably drop by at least 1/3.  Drilling in the ANWAR and offshore will do nothing for us at the pumps, but will make big oil even MORE obscene profits.  U.S. oil companies have exported 1.6 Million barrels of refined petroleum products in the first 4 months of this year-(up 33% from the same period last year), so if we have that to export, why so much import? u tell me.

  10. so far it seems they may not and if they do it will be a long time most likely so get a car/truck that suites you the best

  11. Gas will probably never go down a good thing is that gas did drop 6.45 yesterday which is the biggest drop in oil in more than 15 years I think Bush was finally right to allow offshore drilling even though it wont actually have an effect on our gas prices for 10 years 10 years from now we are most likely going to be having an even larger gas crisis thats why it was stupid for congress to repeal Bush's decision

  12. The reason why it's so high in the first place is because of demand. Stop asking for it, stop needing it, and eventually they'll have no choice but to lower the prices. No one is willing to give it up, though, so you'll have to get over it and deal with the prices.

  13. never in 2009 gas is gonna be worth over 5.00 a gallon and almost 200 dollars a barllel

  14. when bush leaves office

  15. when that tax raising bush wacker quits

  16. ey don nooowwww!!!!

How does it feel to have to decipher that?  Learn how to speak and write English.

  17. When electric automobiles start becoming mass-produced. Quebec is already testing electric autobuses, although they're quite small, they make very little noise. I look forward to future.

    Edit: Electricity is cheap!

  18. every time they think that a barrel of oil will go up, the gas prices go up before it's even done but if you look, oil prices per drum has dropped over 10 dollars a barrel over the last 2 days, but gas prices have not dropped, they've even went up 2 cents. what's with that

  19. Never. Unless the demand goes down because people stop driving...

    So yeah, never.

  20. Never because the entire world is run by Freemasons.

  21. Not until it affects even the rich. (If we're lucky).

  22. When demand diminishes.  In other words: Never.

  23. Probably, after Bush's resignation.

  24. never....hope you have comfy shoes cuz ya gonna be walkin'!!

  25. >>>When Congress regulates the Commodities Speculators who are involved>>>

This is so true.  They are literally gambling with our economy!

  26. Gas prices will probably go down since America is getting desperate and drilling trying to drill in the oceans.
