  1. You will hardly hear of a cruise ship in a hurricane....Hurricanes come with a warning.

They can always change course if necessary.

  2. The entire thing lasts from June until November. The worst is probably August-October. Also, I am not sure where you are planning on going but in the mid to late summer the Caribbean/Mexico can get uncomfortably hot. I think spring is the perfect time to go!

  3. Technically Hurricane season is from June through November but in reality it is really Mid August to Mid November. (Katrina was late August) I wouldn't worry about getting caught in a hurricane as the ships can avoid them, however if there is a hurricane or tropical storm when you are cruising the seas will be rough and, even with the advance stabilizer technology on today's ships, you will feel the boat rock. I avoid Hurricane season but have sailed several times in early December. You are out of the season but the prices are still very low. Seas are a little rougher than April-May, but the effect on the boat is minimal.

  4. Hurricane season is June 1 to November 1.

The best deals are usually during hurricane season.

Check out www.cruisesonly.com for good deals.

  5. Youre not telling me where youre going but if it is the caribean its the autumn that is the hurricane season. But I wouldnt worry even then since your captain will do his best to stay clear of any hurricanes or the effects of them. Johan

  6. winter.

october-dec still is hurricane season but its cheaper.

    jan-march is cheap too.

  7. I'm in agreement with MCLS except hurricane season begins the end of May through the end of November.  If you sail across the Gulf of Mexico, no matter which season, take a box of Bonine tablets (motion sickness) or visit your doctor and ask for Transderm patch for behind the ear (best).  We too have sailed outside hurricane season on rough seas; a cold front passing over the gulf will increase wave height and make for very rocky sailing, for guests and crew.  During rainstorms or hurricanes, cruise ships will find ways to go around the storm.

  8. HURRICANE SEASON STARTS IN JUNE AND ENDS IN NOVEMBER.  BUT THE SEAS CAN BE ROUGH AT ANY TIME.  FOR EXAMPLE I HAVE SAILED DURING APRIL AND BEEN IN 8 FT WAVES WITH VERY WINDY CONDITIONS SO JUST BECAUSE IT IS HURRICANE SEASON DOESNT MEAN THAT THE SAILING IS GOING TO BE BAD AND IN REGARDS TO DEALS IT DEPENDS ON WHER YOU WANT TO GO WITH WHAT CRUISE LINES AND HOW MANY DAYS

  9. hurricaine season runs from June til November, give or take a few weeks, on the east coast. I have cruised many times during hurricaine season and have never had issues with the weather, You can get good deals between thnaksgiving and christmas, and then right after the new year
