Okay, so this is a basic question to everyone, but I can't seem to wrap my brain around it. Lets say, for example, the exchange rate for Mexican pesos into U.S. dollars is 11.56, and the next day it's 10.45. On which day would it be best to exchange? Do you do it when the number is higher or lower? Thanks.

  1. When you change pesos to dollars, you need to do it when the "SELL" or "VENTA" sign is lower, that way you get more dollars for less pesos.

    For example:

100 pesos at 11.56, you would get: $8.65 dollars

100 pesos at 10.45, you would get $9.56 dollars.

When you change dollars for pesos you need to do it when the "BUY" or "COMPRA" sign is higher, that way you get more pesos for every dollar:

    100 dollars at 11.56= $1,156 pesos

    100 dollars at 10.45= $1,045 pesos

  2. sell on high buy on low
