When is it time to replace your router or modem?

the modem/router isn't working for the laptops with wifi cards in my house. it's working for the computer my brother and I share, but the internet isn't working for my parent's laptops. HELP??????!!!!!!!!!!

Unless it is a very old router using wireless B, or A, then it should work fine. It could just be a simple problem. It is not your modem. If it uses wireless G, then I think everything should be ok, since most laptops now days can use it.

Routers and modems do wear out, but this does not sound like your problem.
