Never!  People are not dumb - each has his or her own unique talent's.

It is up to the owner / manager to find those talents and allow the person to use them.  Two things will happen:

1.  The employee will put out better work, and help the bottom line of the business because of that.

2.  You will retain your employees because they will feel valued and actually enjoy what they are doing - which means less turnover.

NEVER assume your employees are dumb!

Most companies these days treat their employees like mushrooms. they keep them in the dark and feed them a load of sh-t
