I took a year off from studies and now I am afraid that's too late to get in a good school and get a scholarship, isn't it? I have good grades but I guess it won't help this time. Maybe I could try get it with sports scholarship? I am confused because it looks like I am too late for everything. Could you advise me anything? Thank you.

  1. If you're trying to get into a US college in fall 2008 and you haven't applied yet, then you are definitely too late. I'm pretty sure you have to send in you application latest by February 2008. Sorry.

  2. Scholarships are all issued based on what it is for, some scholarships are awarded for writing a great research paper. I think your thinking of financial aid. if thats true then it could be too late depending on the school you go to. Check out http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and that site should be able to answer all your questions, but i dont think it is too late. Also a sports scholarship is not that easy to get. My friend was the gatoraid player of the year in football in 2001 and had a 3.6 GPA and could not get a scholarship in football at a WAC school! Good luck though!!!!

  3. Eh, scholarships are pretty much awarded year round you can still get scholarships and apply them even though school has started. Check this site out they have great info and they also have a $10,000 scholarship drawing every mont.

  4. Most college application deadlines have probably passed, but some schools accept students all year long. You could also try attending a community college for a semester or a year before transferring to a larger university.

You can apply for scholarships anytime!
