i really want to become a veterinarian. in elementary and middle school i had average grades. In ninth grade i got straight A's except during the end of the year where on my final exam for biology was a C, math D and spanish F but my final grades were All A's except for spanish i got a B. I'm now in tenth grade and am taking my grades more seriously and studying a lot more. i also have been working at an animal clinic for two summers and am absolutely sure that i want to become a veterinarian. i would like to know if it is to late because of my grades. my GPA is 3.75. they say ninth grade is your most important year, so I'm kind of worried. does anybody experienced or even not experienced have any advice

  1. Who told you that 9th grade is most important?  That is B.S.!  11th grade will be most important since that is the time that you will take your ACT/SAT and will start applying to colleges.  Your elementary school grades don't matter.  Your middle school grades really don't matter either.  Colleges are only concerned with your high school record.  Nobody is going to look at your individual test grades in any class either.  What they (college admission committees) will look at is your high school transcript and the final grades you received in each class, what courses you took, what extra curricular activities you were involved with on campus, how many off and/or on campus volunteer hours you have, your essay, and your letters of recommendation.  Your gpa is nice and high.  Now just keep up the good work, take the PSAT in your sophomore year, take the SAT and the ACT in your junior year, join clubs and be an active member, keep working at the animal clinic and even do volunteer hours their and you should have a good shot at going to college and then vet school.
