  1. Its totally up to you. If you baby is doing fine on pureed food, try just mashing it up. My son was only 4months when he had mashed food (we started him on pureed food at 2mnths)

  2. once your baby gets some teeth...what is wrong with feeding your baby pureed food is the same...

  3. There's no magic age. If you want to give it a go, do it. If bub doesn't want it, you'll know!

  4. When he is interested in what you are eating you can let him feed himself table foods.

  5. around 4-6 months start pureed food and when he starts getting more teeth and can swallow textured foods is when you should try to begin but start slowly. if he shows interest that is a plus.

  6. When they start to act like they are chewing but continue with pureed food until the baby is older stage 3 food are age 8 months my little girl turned 8 months today and a gave her a little bit of lumpier foods for the last few weeks but i started getting her used to them by giving her small Gerber puffs they dissolve in their mouth when they move their tongue like they are chewing.

  7. if he has teeth and he seems hungry i would give him a stage 2 food and see how he likes it.  my boys were 6 months old they were already getting table food table food.  i was giving them quartered up hot dogs, cut up green beans and mac and cheese.  i was give them pork chops that were ground up in the blender.  we made roast when they were a infants and they chowed down on it.  my boys though at 6 months old were big eaters.  they were both on cereal at 2 1/2 months old cause i was giving them 8 oz bottles ever hr when they were 1 1/2 to 2 months old.  my boys were eating chicken nuggets before they were a yr old and i did the same thing with them that i did with the pork chops.  if he's hungry i would try something ground out and see what he does.

ps my youngest was eating all this with no teeth.  he was 9 months old before he go his first tooth.
