I am fighting a ticket and want to know if my insurance is notified before I fight it or will they only be notified if I am found guilty.

Thank you!

  1. No one notifies them.  Insurance companies check between 12 to18 month intervals.  Sooner if you're a bad driver, or a new young driver.  Only convictions appear.

  2. Basically yes. once the matter has been settled and your insurer check your abstract they will know if you were found or plead guilty. If you are able to defend it you won't have to worry...

  3. As soon as it is loaded into the Law Enforcement computer.

The end results are also sent by computer.

  4. Neither. Your insurance company will pull a copy of your driving record when you come up for renewal. If you have not been found guilty, it will not appear on your driving record.
