Setanta Sports News is a forthcoming television channel from Virgin Media Television and Setanta Sports, it was expected to launch before 29 September 2007, however reports suggest that this has been delayed as Virgin are also preparing to launch Virgin 1 in October. It will be available on Virgin Media exclusively for a while before eventually launching on Freeview and Sky Digital. The channel will be seen as Virgin Media's rival to Sky Sports News.

It was announced on 12 September 2007 that ITN has been appointed producer of Setanta Sports News.
