Yes you are right.  This years meeting is at Monmouth Park, New Jersey.

The main races (Juvenile, Fillies Juvenile, Distaff, Sprint, Filly & Mare Turf, Mile, Turf and Classic) are on the Saturday, but they have introduced some new races which will be run on the Friday.  

These new races are not Grade 1 races as a race must EARN the Grade 1 status, it is not automatically granted.
