When is the Pro Rugby Season?

I want to get into watching Rugby and maybe playing it too. I played football for about 3 years but I dont like that you have to were paddes because I feel like it makes it more painful, because of all the hard gear on you. Like getting a facemask in your back, getting a helmet in your arm, that c**p hurts. Rugby seems like you can play more ruff because you dont have to worry about that stuff.

Anyway, when is the season and what stations can i watch it on, like espn etc.???

It depends on where you are in the world mate! Judging from ya post, you maybe an american! Rugby is still an amateur game there so I don't know where they might be able to show rugby footage on tv. But the pro rugby season varies, northern hemisphere is at the end of the year to new year, southern hemisphere is round may to october!

The roughness of the game, i'm not so sure about that one anymore because the game is moving away from that type of play simply because players get hurt, some even get life long injuries because of the sport such as paralysis and they want to make the game more friendly to players. A good example of it is when an opponent doesnt allow the entry of the ball to go back to the attacking team, before, you can ruck the player so that he moves, now, you can't do that because of the new rugby laws that have been introduced!
