When is the UN going to force majority islamic countries to give all religions and women and g**s equality?

Every person on the planet must be allowed to visit any place, this includes Mecca.

Every ideology or 'religion' must be able to build houses of worship in every country without limitation or being given second class status behind another ideology/religion.

Women and g**s must be given equal status and protection in all islamic countries.

When is the UN going to denounce Arabia, Iran and all islamic countries for VIOLATING most if not all human rights treaties in the last 60 years?

Human rights laws must AT ALL TIMES be considered superior to ramblings in socalled holy books.

You sound as though you are confusing reason and reality as the same thing. Not even close. The UN cannot do anything except regulate its wardrobe. It is a fruitless organization who cannot do anything if the countries that vote on it continue to ignore its purpose - which brings me to the point I wish to make.

This Earth, and it's inhabitants, will never cooperate. The root of this is lack of principle. Everyone acts in their own self-interests. Individuals and groups as a whole. In some cultures there is no distinction like that, but they still operate as a whole. The question is what is this "whole" and why does it arise. Answer: culture. People always pick sides. No man likes to stand alone in his opinions as the saying goes. You can break this notion down to your personal life by asking which sides do you take subconsciously? Because you are taking some. Rather it's Dem vs. Rep; Yankees vs. Red Sox; girls vs boys; whites vs blacks; good vs evil; etc.. we are all taking some side and this inevitably conflicts. Sprots fan hate each other and fight all the time; if we cannot calmly address sport teams, what hope do we have for something more? Nationalism is the problem. Patriotism is a problem. It's good to be proud, but not at the expense of hating others or dismissing others due tot hat pride. But most people cannot get this. They don't feel that principle. Instead they prefer "us vs them" mentality. It's easier to hate than understand; and history has shown us this time and time again. Education is the most basic key element here.

That change will only occur when the more backward countries  take the forward step themselves . That I am afraid to say will be a long way off and will not happen in our lifetime.The U.N., is a toothless tiger at the best of times and would be totally impotent in trying to change the laws to which you refer.

My co-regligiousists, the Baha'is,  are being arrested, their property confiscated,  children are being harassed in schools in Iran.

In Egypt, legally you are nobody unless you're Muslim, Christian or Jewish.   Baha'is have no legal standing there!!
