When is the US planning on paying the National Debt?

Each year the amount we pay on *interest* on the National Debt is $406 Billion. Total collections of income tax amount to $2.7trillion, so 15% of our taxes are going to pay interest!

Am I the only person who thinks this is crazy?

  4. Good question. I hope some of the borrow and spend Republicans who supported and praised Regan, Bush I, and Bush II will explain that to you, since they created most of that debt.

  5. No.  However, I don't see any serious attempt being made by either party to pay it down.  Even Clinton spent the social security surpluses instead of using them to pay down the debt.

  7. Well, most Democrats dont care about little things like the national debt, there more interested in getting free candy or in the case of Obama, free healthcare, democrats want everything handed to them and life made easier but they dont understand the consequences or freedom for that matter.

    Dont vote for NoBama.
