When is the best and earliest day I can take a HPT?

I am on day 21 and the 2 week wait is really really killing me. When is the earliest date I can test? Today is Sept. 1st day 21 of cycle. What day can I test? Thanks everyone and lots of baby dust.

Hi Steph i know the 2 week wait drives anyone crazy especially when your trying to concieve,most home pregnancy tests allows you to test 5 days before your due period with all my pregnancies i have always tested either 5 days or 2 days before my due period and have always had a positive result that's the whole point of HPT's to find out before having to wait and see a doctor,you can either wait for your period to come,do a HPT test or go see doctor it is entirely up to you good luck.

I'm in a similar situation!  I'm planning on testing this Friday...I don't know how I'm going to get through this week!  I have a 32 day cycle and those four extra days seem to last forever!  Good luck to you...I'm thinking positive thoughts for us both:)

You should actually wait until your period is due.  You can test with an early response test but still it is best to wait to avoid the heart break of a chemical pregnancy (early + hpt then a miscarriage before 5 weeks when the egg does not implant fully or there is a problem with the egg).

I think you should wait until you miss your period honestly. I completely understand how hard it is to wait because we just want to know if this was our month. DH and I TTC for 5 months-- well hopefully I will get my BFP this month so this is the 5th month. I have bought so many HPT and tested early every month only to be dissapointed with a BFN! I have just come to the conclusion to wait it out and not buy any tests until at least 1-2 days before AF. I wish you all the best and hope this is your month. I would wait until AF is due, and doesn't show up. Before that you are more likely to get BFN either way. Just wait a little longer to avoid unnecessairy disappointment.
