Depends on the location... Since you mention golf! that would be in the summer of course.. You can also check them in the fall for last minute type of deals. Same goes for hotels.

Of course if you are located around ski resorts (like me) both summer and winter are the best times to reach hotels..

You're thinking about this from the wrong point of view. Many hotels and golf courses books their ads months in advance, and many also only consider new publications at certain times of the year.

If the magazine appeals to them and you can sell the benefits then there is really no wrong time of the year to contact them and sell.
