When is the best season to travel to Santiago de Chile?

  1. It all depends on what you want to do. There is a great ski season in July/August. However Santiago is too cold during those months and smog accumulates in the city. August/September is awful for asmathic people.

    In summertime, January/February, the weather is great, it is very hot around 5pm but bearable if you have a swimming pool. However, if you're allergic it could be dangerous as it is high allergy season.

    I've lived there for 4 years and to me the best was October/November or March/April when the weather was ok.
