When is the best time of day in Chicago to visit the DMV office?

I have moved to Chicago and I would like to get an Illinois license.

Does anyone know what time of day is the least busiest for the central branch downtown?

Through my experience, i would recommend a tuesday, wednesday, or thursday morning. If you think of it, most of the general population is busy. With the nice set-up they have, you don't have to stand the whole time.

They have changed their procedures now, you walk in and take a number. When your number is called, you take care of your business. You should drive up to the Libertyville office, you are in and out in no time. Best time to go is Thursday afternoon.

Not the first, or last day of the month.  Not the 15th or the week day closest to that date.  Not Monday or Friday.

Call and ask them when is the least traffic time to come in. Not just driving time but their schedule as well.
