morning or evening, when the sun's not so hot.... you can mow after a rain as soon as the grass is dry..... wet grass will clump and you'll have to rake the yard....

That probably depends on your geographical location as well as your neighborhood. In Texas it's best to mow as soon as there is enough daylight to see. The heat gets deadly here, but then again, so do the neighbors if you wake one of the less understanding.......

I can usually mow the day after a good rain, but there again, the heat plays a big role in determining how fast the grass and ground dries enough to mow.

Morning is best before it gets too hot. You don't want to do it while it is still dewy though. You can mow after a rain as soon as the grass is dry to the touch. The mower not only works better when the grass is dry, but there is also the safety issue of poor traction on wet grass.

Evening after it's baked in the sun.I wait a day after rain.You can mow in the rain if you want it's just about the wet grass plugging up the mower, wadding up around the blade and needing cleaned out a few times while mowing.Dry grass is ejected out of the mower better than wet, but it doesn't hurt the grass or mower
