When is the best time of the year to visit Italy by cruise?

i think early fall would be the best b/c the weather there is PERFECT that time of year. so probably late september or october. i went on a cruise last year and got a great deal from this site. check it out at http://www.travelcuse.com and have a great time in italy!

We did our cruise to Italy on a Mediterranean cruise in October and the weather was perfect.   I had also read on a travel site that September October was a perfect time because the weather is great and also the number of tourists is lower and thus it is not crowded.  That turned out to be the case also, although there were still a lot of people at the main attractions like Vatican City, Coliseums, Pompeii and Pisa.

So I recommend Sept/Oct

Probably April/May or September/October.It is still warm but not blazing hot and during August Italy pretty much closes down for summer holidays with many businesses closed the whole month.
