Alaskan cruise season runs May-Sept.  July and August are the peak times so that's the time to go.  Of course it's going to be the most expensive time to go.  If you want to save money, go in May or September.

If you're trying to go this year, and are serious, July and August may be full.  Book what you can.

Alot depends what you are looking for. It does not rain alot. May & Sept are best for lower fares. May & June you will see more wild life from ship. Sept. all stores in ports of call have their 50% off sales. July & August warmest months. May threw Sept. not really that cold. 40's to 70's. If you can take the cruisetour in May something you will never forget & more wildlife than ever. Whenever you go you will meet people from all over the world.

We went last year, August 14th.  Never had one rainy day and temps were about 70 degree's every day. Great cruise on Princess Saphire and would go every year if I could.

Just so you know, it rains a lot in Alaska. However, the time it is the most dry is the last week of May/first week of June. Try to book during these times. Be prepared for rain though and tell yourself you will have fun no matter what.
