  1. There isn't really a cheap time of year.  The best time to visit in my opinion is summer becasue then your likley to get good weather.  Or december because then you get to see all the lights and christmas decorations :)

  2. i don't think there is a cheap time to visit london! it's just generally expensive. i'd stay away during the summer holidays. the best time is probably february/march time but it will be cold.

  3. there isn't a cheap time of year ... off peak you might be able to get a better deal at a hotel if you try to haggle a bit and on flights ... peak times are summer (late June, July, August and the beginning of September), also Christmas and Easter

the best time of year is when there's the least amount of tourists and you can move around the tourist attractions easier (February, March, November) but that's also the time of year when the weather is likely to be wet, chilly and miserable

otherwise the weather in September, October, May and early June is nicer (although I'm not guaranteeing anything, English weather is unpredictable at any time - why do you think the English talk about it so much) and it won't be as packed as August

  4. Your best overall  bet, and it is a bet as British weather is as unpredictable as others have noted, is September, as soon as the children go back to school for the autumn term, so by the start of the second week.
