  1. I have been to Venice more than once. I've gone in both the winter and summer. The winter is cooler and more than not it's raining. I'd say the average temperature in the winter is upper 50s maybe, low 60s. The rain makes it a drab though.

I love it in the summer. It's absolutley beautiful. It's sunny and it's really pretty to be on a boat or gondola during the day.

If you really want a cost effective trip go for a winter trip. It's a lower time of the season and rates will probably be down. Summer is of course to be expected as the height of their tourist time and the rates will be higher.

Irregardless of when you go this is the kind of trip where you tend to spend more. It's a really rich culture city, so you need to soak up as much as possible because if you don't you'll come home and be like "what exactly did I just see."

  2. I would say spring. I think May is probably a really good month to go. Not too hot, not too cold.

    Enjoy!

  3. Io winter, with snow and Carnival

  4. They have Carnivale I think in February. It's so much fun and the costumes are beautiful. Other than that anytime in the spring is the best time to go. It's so beautiful there.

  5. In febrary you can see the carnevale ad it is very beaytiful....but cost a lot! i suggest you april or march..in summer is very hot..

  6. anytime is a great time to go to venice! there is always good weather, and if you go during the spring or summer, prices are a little higher b/c of tourism, so the fall and winter are the best times to go! enjoy your stay!

  7. Carnivale is in Feb or March (depends on Lenten) but that's neither best weather or best prices.  I like late April or early May - it's a shoulder season so prices aren't too bad yet, people aren't traveling as much and the weather is lovely.

  8. In winter in Venice (in Northern Italy) a mist often descends and hovers over the city creating an atmosphere of mystery and suspense.

The best months to visit the Venice are November or March. The most crowded periods are Easter, May and June, October and Christmas. July and August have become less crowded in recent years, but the summer can be fun but also uncomfortably hot.
