Myself and 2 of my friends are going to vegas for 8 nights in early November. We have not booked our hotel yet but would like to stay in Treasure Island. Over the past 3-4 weeks the prices have shot up. Should we wait until closer the time? Will the prices come back down??

  1. It all depends on the demand of others that are going, if they are booked up its going to cost more, and if they are hurting for visitors its cheaper, just shop around I leave tomorrow for vegas and i booked a month ago and then checked it out two weeks later and the price dropped and i was watching it 3-4 times per day trying to get the best deal, but book in packages you will save, I used vegas.com it was cheaper than actual hotel site.

  2. Since you are not going during holiday times, I would wait a little longer.

The prices will probably come back down if the hotel doesnt start to fill up. But it wouldnt hurt to find out if a convention is in town during those dates. Vegas is known to fill up and have prices skyrocket during those time.

  3. You should definitely sign up for Treasure Island's email offers. (sign up here http://www.treasureisland.com/pages/prom...  And always remember as long as you book a room that is not nonrefundable, you can always contact them if you find a cheaper rate and they will either change it, or cancel it and set you up with a new reservation.

I usually start looking at room prices about three months before my trip, if I find a deal that I like, I will go ahead and book it.  But I will continue watching the deals up until a week before we go.  Have you looked on http://www.smartervegas.com/ ?  This site has the lowest hotel rates for Las Vegas that are published by the hotels.

Currently the promotions for Treasure Island that extend into November are

Exclusive 10% web only discount- From $80/night

$10 in TI casino free play

This is a nonrefundable offer and once booked may not be cancelled or changed.  Expires Dec 30, 2008

    Tax Rebate- From $69/night

    Expires Dec 28, 2008

It's not much for now, but if you keep watching this site, and even sign up for their emails, they will notify you when there are new promo codes.  You will probably start to see the best ones for your trip show up in September.

Looking at the hotel calendar, it seems that November is just an expensive month, there might be a lot of conventions, or it just might be a big tourist time.

  4. The best time to book a room is when you have your dates set and it is within 3 months of the stay. That way you protect against rising prices however the most important thing is:

Keep checking the hotel web site (or call) for a price drop. All the majors will honor a price drop and adjust your reservation.

  5. no the longer u wait the highr theyll go. i live in vegas and i booked for treasure island last november and we booked 3 months in adavanced so the price was $129 a night!!!

  6. I would book as soon as you have your travel dates and if the price drops you can rebook for a better price. Have you checked http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com ? You will find there the latest hotel promotion codes for Las Vegas.

  7. Just keep an eye on Treasure Island discount promo codes and as soon as you see a code that fits your price range, book it. Here are the codes. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/las-vegas...

  8. a friend and i got a really great deal when we went to vegas in december and we didn't book anything until mid/late november. we paid a little under $200 each for the flight and a room at the planet hollywood for 4 nights and the room there was super nice because it's a newly remodeled hotel.

  9. Dear Bne,

If you can hold off until the first few weeks in December the bottom usually falls out of vegas prices.  When you book your vacation there are several ways to do it.  I suggest you watch sights like Expedite and make sure you compare apples to apples.  That is same 8 days (M-S) and include only one weekend.  The weekends are what kills you on the rooms.  Also, that you compare flights.  If you are flexible in your departure dates you can really get good deals.  I studied for months a few years ago and was able to catch MGM with flight at $900 for three adults, when regularly it was $1800.  Once you find a deal you can also contact your local travel agent and give them the print out on what you want and ask them to beat it.  Most agents will appreciate that you have done their leg work and have a total.  They will often save you several hundred dollars on the same package you would have purchased on line.  Shop hotels as sometimes 4 or 5 star hotels have really wonderful rates or promos.  Make sure you not only plan your travel and room, but look for deals on entertainment and casino chips or Player's Club discounts.
