I read somewhere that after Christmas is the best time as like cars,new models come out and"they" have to get rid of the old surplus.

New clubs - probably about first of October when I think the new models come out.  Used clubs definitely after Christmas.

Any time is good, of course the newer models that come out are going to cost more than clubs that have been out for a while.  There are also a lot of pre-owned clubs that you can get at a discounted price.
