When is the best time to cut back roses? I am not sure what kind they are they are just a big bush. I need to cut them back and replant them in a different spot. What do I need to do and when? I live in Florida.

If they sprout again it wouldn't really hurt it to cut them back now then right? and cut them back again in the winter.

  1. The best time to transplant a rose is when it is dormant. That would be when there are no leaves on the bush at all.  In the spring or fall when the ground is wet and the temperatures are mild is the next best.

You need to pick a spot that has at least 6 hours of sun 10 is better.

If you transplant them now they will have less chance for survival but if you must make sure you keep them watered. Once you cut them back I wouldn't cut them again until next spring. Then do a normal pruning.

Transplanting now hope this will be helpful
