I went off the pill about a month ago. I was just wondering what time of the month would be the optimum time to get pregnant?? I'm ready! LOL

  1. I believe this is how it works..... From the first day of your period count 14 days from then. That is supposed to be the day you ovulate. A few days before to a few days after would be the best time to get pregnant.

  2. Ovulation occurs approx 2 weeks after the last day of your period.

  3. If your cycles are regualr (around 28 days); and thats counting from the first day of your period to the day before you bleed again - then most women are fertile between CD12-CD17.....some women get lucky and will get PG right off the bat after stopping the pill.....others have to really track there cycle.  I would suggest figuring out when you ovulate by tracking your CM and using ovulation test strips - that what helped me anyways, and i am now happily 11+w PG with #2 after 10 weeks of trying.

    Best of Luck

  4. the best time to get pregnant is when you ovulate as we all know you ovulate around 14 days from the first day of you last menstrual cycle it works for me im now pregnant with my 3rd child well here is a site that should help you loads it helped me tons

well good luck kids are such a blessing x*x K x*x

  5. i think a week before your period id supposed to start because your egg is coming down ovulating and what not but they sell little kits at kmart walgreens you know your local drug store that actually tell you when your ovulating

  6. about 10-15 days before your period is due.  That's an estimated ovulation, everyone is different though.  Try ovulation strips to know for sure! Good luck!! :o)

  7. Well the average ovulation period is from the 12 to the 16th day of your menstrual cycle. Start from the first day of your last period. Your ovulation schedule may be irregular because you were on the pill, which can make your periods irregular.  So if i were you, I would wait and see the regular schedule of my periods and then go off of that.

  8. Most women ovulate about 14 days (12-16 days) before their NEXT period.  Sperm can live in your body for 3-5 days, so you'd want to 'try' a couple of times in that 3-5 day window before ovulation.

Do be aware that if you just went off the pill it may take a few months to begin having regular cycles again.
