  1. It all depends on what you are fishing for. Catfish, late at night. Carp, afternoon. Bluegill, all day. Bass, dusk or dawn. But most of everything bites either sunrise or sunset. I think that in the evening is the best time to go. Good luck!

  2. ANYTIME, fish are always hungry!!!!!

  3. morning

  4. u need to know the moon phases, moonrise n mo onset, season changes,if all these happen at the same time during dusk/dawn/sunrise n sunset most probably u can get a big fish.45mins b4 n after effect so when all of this align within the 45mins or closest then that's the ultimate chance.small crappy/trash fish is not worth yur time having much thought about it.

  5. Anytime you can get away. Who knows what might happen if you don't go. If I have a choice I per fer morning.

  6. When you are supposed to be working.

  7. early in the morning or at around dinner time....burbot like to bite just before sunset

  8. I agree with Bobber, any chance you get to go.

  9. morning is better

  10. when the fish are biting, just ask around, check the local bait shop, or go to a hunting and fishing store ask the employees. during the summer I like going during the afternoon, but during ice season, all day is perfect....

  11.       when you have water movement. If it saltwater fishing, check your newpaper for tide schedule.Out going or incoming,it doesn't matter, just as long as it's moving. In fresh water I fish by the moon movements.I like to fish two or three days before full moon and two or three days after full moon. But any day you can get away and fish is the best time.

  12. Morning and evening are the feeding time for walleye.

Large and small mouth bass all day.

Fish are active when overcast with a few drops of rain and light wind.

Fish has no eye lids, so they tend to stay under covered in the afternoon to avoid the sun.

If the wind come from the east, stay home to play your Wii fishing game.

  13. i take it you are in Fla. fish awake during the day feed before going to sleep and the same fish who don't get enough to eat before sleeping are starving first thing in the morning. Use that knowledge to find on your water of choice. stalk the areas and be looking for the baitfish jumping trying to get away from the preditors don't spoil a good fishing area by walking up to the shoreline and letting them see your profile on the horizon. Never let the sun or moon be on your back, never. match the baits to use for what you see occuring for blues and stripers from shoreline I would fish early and late light with top water zara spooks and poppers from shore. in l;akes and ponds top water crank baits minnow patterns long and thin (secret # 118 ) use shorter and light colored (faded) minnow baits in spring and longer darker colored ones in fall) Use big black and purple colored worms in the evening and smaller lighter orange yellow even faded pink in the early morning.

If you are fishing tide areas not many fish get caught during slack tides so always know the tides before heading to the water.

  14. Personally prefer mornin' and dusk. Catfisherman be night dwellers (no pun intended) because of the better Cat bite. As for the afternoon's ~ gets a bit too hot out here ie., Central, CA ~ not only for the fish but, the angler as well ;)... < ' ( (( > <

Note: Basically I responsed to your question not only ta' add my opinion but, ta' let the "Thumbs-downer"  know I wouldn't think of deprievin' him/her of any additional prey...

  15. Dawn, and Dusk mostly. It really depends on what type of fish are you trying to hook. If your fishing trout, all day is good but the best time is Dawn. Catfish is best at night. have fun!

  16. Dawn, without getting into all of the science of it in an attempt not to bore anyone, leave all this scientific c**p behind for a spell and just picture yourself on the lake, and it's glassy calm, there's nobody out there yet cause it's only 5:30 and the sun is just now starting to rise.

Even the vacationers are still asleep, the lake is yours.  The sun is just now starting to show its' erie morning light and in the midst of that mild light, combined with the absolute glassy calmness of the water, a monster Bass SLAMS your favorite early morning top water cruiser with a splash that disrupts vacationing campers for miles, and leaves you with an early morning memory that will last forever.   Be there at dawn and reap the rewards.
