When is the best time to go on a cruise to the Mediterranean?

I'm organizing a cruise for me and my family, and we want to go when the seasonal rates aren't soso high. We'd rather have the weather be around the upper 60's lower 70's. So yes, please and thank you!

April to November is the best time of year to cruise Europe, and you will have the widest selection of ships during this time.

June through August is the "high season" for most itineraries, with the prices during the other months being lower.

Best temperatures are in the spring and fall. Greece, Turkey, the Rivieras, and southern Italy and Spain get especially hot in the summer, with temperatures approaching 90 degrees away from the ocean. Depending on where you are cruising, the spring and fall may be actually preferable since it won't be so hot.

Sometimes tourist facilities close during the off season or have shorter opening hours, but your savings could be substantial. The time of year is somewhat driven by where you want to go on your European cruise.

Just remember that the best time to go to each destination is usually the most expensive.

Are you out of your mind? Have you not seen the news for the last year about all the people that disapear or are just murdered on those freaking cruise ships? Fly to the Bahamas, enjoy yourself and live.

I'm an agent and have cruises all over the Mediterranean - its one of my favorite itineraries.  People are getting smart and traveling to the Med in Sept instead of the summer months so the cruise lines are not really dropping their prices that much for Sept.  But there are still sailings into Oct and even the 1st week in Nov.  and those are the sailings with the best prices.
