Saturday and Sunday, for as long you can bear the heat. Summer is good, but don't pick too hot of a day, no one wants to go out on those days.

The best time to have a yard sale is a specail day. Trust me I had two or three yard sales already.

Any weekend really but the trick is to put in your ad or on your signs that Thursday Early Birds are welcome.  There is a ton of old ladies and housewives who scan the papers and sale signs for that.  We like to get there first so we can buy all the good stuff.  Also, if you can talk some of your friends and neighbors into having a community garage sale that ALWAYS brings in a ton of people and whoever is joining in can help pay for a newspaper ad and you'll be able to afford a bigger better one with everyone only having to pony up a little dough.  You don't even need a whole lot of homes, I've seen some with only 3-4 houses and it was them with their friends and family.  They are the way to go if you can pull it off.  Otherwise, check the forecast, advertise at least a week ahead of time and make sure you have plenty of large, clear signs pointing people in the right direction (if they can't find it easily they will lose interest and go find the next one).

Sundays when the weather is good. People usually don't work then and besides seeing your advertisement people will be out for walks.

i would have to say a Saturday but not this saturday wait till next and put up signs now so people will know when it is and that way more will come.

I found,personally, that the best times are Friday & Saturday..9 - 4.....Friday is actually the best day.  Sundays usually arent very successful for me.

I would say Saturday cause Fri. everyone wants to get home from work and Sun. everyone is getting ready for Mon work.

Thursday-Saturday. those days have always worked best for us. As for time...between 9 and 6.
