  1. if i were you i would try to send it to where they'll receive it right before i leave.

  2. 3 weeks is fine or even 2 weeks is sufficient.

They need enough time to throw you a surprise farewell party.

And you and them both need chance to exchange farewell emotions and encouragements in persons if possible.

  3. this is a difficult question to answer with certainty for it seems to have not yet been discovered by a fool man like me!but as far as my nocturnal mind is concerned there is no best time for sending a farewell letter to a colleague-i am assuming here that both of you and all the other person involved have a good or balanced relationship.Play this out, since you lived not for sympathy!do not expect for them to be sympathetic.Just forget them, for they're stopping your growth.

  4. its best if you give it,on the day you will leave or the day before you leave..cause if you give it 3 weeks before u leave, the moment of "missing you" is not that say "on a high level"..:)

  5. No, I would only do it on the last day and only with permission from a manager or HR

  6. Best to ask for personal info and send it privately if you are that close.

Otherwise, with manager permission, a mass e-mail or something like it on the last day is a nice gesture. By mass e-mail I don't mean company wide, just to the ones you work with personally.

And if you want to keep in touch, leave contact info, like e-mail address or whatever you prefer.
