should you start buying stuff when you find out the s*x of the baby or wait until you get about 6 or 7 months.

  1. depends on you

if you want to go ahead...don't know about you but i really like to check out return policies in case it doesn't fit, i get 30 at my shower, blah,  blah, blah

so as  long as that is acceptable to you, then go for it if you want, i was wanting to be prepared but so afraid somehow i would jinx myself, and i am not a superstitious person!!!!!!! but have fun, if you want to start now and can go for it,,,,

  2. A lot of the stuff you don't need to know the s*x like cribs, dressers and white onsies. I say start buying now!! I know i found out I was pregnant and started buying about a week later, lol.

If you are on the cautious side, wait until 12 weeks so the miscarriage threat is mostly over.

    Congrats!!

  3. i bought the big stuff as soon as i could actually (crib, dresser, change table, etc). i then waited till after my baby showers to see if i needed anything i didn't get, which were held around my 6th or 7th month.

i bought all the little things, clothes, accessories, and odds and ends the whole pregnancy.

  4. I waited until I had my baby shower (some of  my friends & my mom threw a baby shower for me when I was 6 months), that way i would know what all I needed to get.

  5. As long as you are past your first trimester, you can start buying whatever you want.  For gender specific things, its best to wait until after the sonogram.  Other than that though, if you see something on sale/clearance that you know you'll need..... get it!

  6. it all depends on you, I started buying stuff as soon as I found out the s*x of the baby, Advice buy lots of wipes, diapers, and receiving blankets. I'm sure at your baby shower you'll get tons of clothes! good luck and congrats!

  7. with my first pregnancy, i never bought anything, i just had this awful feeling i was never going to deliver that baby. i went for my 12wk scan to be told my baby had died 3wks prior.

my 2nd pregnancy, i told people at 6 weeks and started buying at 7 weeks. i just knew it was my time and i had a perfect princess.

most people tend to wait till the first trimester is done though.

  8. Starting to buy stuff early is good so it is not a large financial undertaking all at once.

  9. It's totally up to how you feel. In your 2nd trimester you'll have the most energy to shop around and pick out what you like.

I started when I knew I was going to have a boy and made sure everything was 100% ready (including having all new clothes washed an ironed) when I was 37 weeks pregnant.

Leaving it until 7 months is cutting it a bit fine I think.

    Congrats and good luck.

  10. Personally, I couldn't wait.  I had to start buying as soon as I found out what we were having!  It's so fun!

    good luck
