  1. For both pregnancies I chose to wait until after the 20 week ultrasound because I wanted to know the s*x before making any purchases.  If you don't want to start buying anything yet you can always get your gift registry started. There is no rule as far as when it too soon to start buying.

  2. you can buy things that will be used for both s*x.and later when you know the s*x of your baby then you buy the necessary ones before the due time.

  3. Just make sure you buy stuff before the baby is born.  The question is a little bit off.  If someone tells you go buy stuff now, would you?  If another says, wait buy stuff later, would you?  Answers here don't matter.  When you can afford to buy the stuff buy it.  Just make sure you have them before the baby gets here!

    Congratulations and Good Luck!

  4. I think it would be fine to purchase things now. Ask family & friends for any baby things they may not need anymore & most of the time it will be almost brand new as babies dont use things for a long time and being unemployed this will save you some money.

I started buying things after 16 weeks and gathering hand me downs/buying baby stuff from a world wide online auction site and have got some brand new stuff for bargain prices =) Hope this helps with the money side of things.

Definatly not too late your only almost 1/2 way...another 21 weeks or so to go and get the things you'll need & plan a baby shower  if your having one

Goodluck with the next 21 weeks :)

  5. If you are unemployed, I am sure you are low on funds. I would wait until after your baby shower.  You should register for everything you want, hope to get most of it, then shop for whatever you really need and didn't get. When you register and later shop...shop wisely, really think about whether you'd really use a product. I got so many things I thought I'd need and only used once or twice because it wasn't as convenient as I thought...like diaper genie and bottle warmer.  Ask other mothers if you aren't sure abt an item.

Also when babies are small, especially when its hot, all they can stand to wear is a onesie. As tempting as it will be, don't go shop for all these cute little outfits. My baby is 3 mos and I have dressed him up twice and regretted it after both times because he was uncomfortable. Save your money for when you really need it.

  6. Not late at all! It's whenever you feel ready and have the energy to go on a shopping trip! Some Moms will choose to buy bits and pieces all the way through their pregnancy in neutral colours, they find building up in this way less demanding than leaving it all for one trip. Others wait until they know the s*x of their baby and go for colour-coordinated pieces then.

Personally, I picked up clothes and the biggest bits I'd need like the crib, moses basket, pram, car seat etc first, probably when I was around 15 weeks. You still have plenty of time to do as you wish and remember to bear in mind you can pick up some excellent clothes etc on ebay for the fraction of store prices! It saved me lots in my first pregnancy as clothes are never really worn for long anyway. Good luck and enjoy the rest of pregnancy!

  7. Most people wait until 1st trimester is over but if your going to have a shower their is nothing wrong with starting that list. and having a good time with it

  8. I would start with the little things.

  9. its never to early.

i wasnt even pregnant and i was buying baby products for our next baby.

also try to buy items like a certain time (no tax, christmas) when prices may be cheaper.

buy little items, or you can wait for a baby shower (if your having one) people may buy you the same items.

    congrats!!!!

  10. The day I found out I was expecting I started buying diapers, that put me so far ahead!!!!  I bought everything I could think of before my son was born.  I still buy his clothing and birthday, Christmas and spacial occasion items early (months).  It helps out because sometime when the time come to have it I may not have the money to buy it but I don't stress because I bought it months ago.  Now he's in size 4 diapers and I buy size 4 and 5.

  11. Around 20 -25 weeks is a safe mark to start buying things.

I got the cot, pram, carseat first so i had all the major things out of the way then once you have them start on the clothes, nappies, bottle etc.. just buy a pack of nappies and a bottle each week when you shop...if you buy a few small things each week an put them away by the time bub is born you will actually be amazed at the amout of things you have!
