When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

I loved Barcelona in November and December, because it was warm enough to go around without a jacket (just a lightweight sweater and tank top) and there were virtually no tourists.  I also went in August and was disappointed to find that some of the small, local shops were closed (no churros anywhere!), although everything else was open (and crowded).

May, June, and September. *(April and October in the south)

At these times you can expect great weather and avoid all the July-August vacationers. And oh yeah, the best festivals are mostly between the week leading up to easter sunday and september to october. So if you want the best of both worlds-spare some vacayion time during september!
