When is the best time to visit Mykonos Island?

I am thinking of visiting Athens for few days during the first week of October, do you advice me to extend my trip and visit Mykonos or the weather and atmosphere would not be nice? Would it be full of life at this time of the year?

It would be nice. Bars will still be open and it will be cheaper, too.

Athens is nice to see the Acropolis and ruins but Mykonos is amazing! I would also recommend Santorini. The scenery in itself is worth extending your trip. The weather I assume will still be nice but probably not as nice as in June or July.

The weather was great when i visited last year in October with tempratures being around 26 celcius and sun all the time. room rates also start to get lower in october. however if you are into hardcore partying august is the best time of the year, but very crowded. get a aegean airways flight ticket from athens to mykonos to get the best deal.
