  1. I also work out in the morning, but not without eating something.  I always eat some protein first - your body needs it for the workout.  My favorite food for that purpose is a mixture of cottage cheese and pineapple.  It might sound weird, but I like it and it works for me.

  2. Typically the best time to work out is just after waking up on an emtpy stomach. Drink about 8 oz of water - and hop on a stair climber if possible. If you do not have a stair climber, use a tread mill with a moderate to high incline. DO NOT HANG ON THE MACHINE. You will burn far more calories this way than using a bike, or a flat treadmill - you are forced to lift your legs higher, using your gluts and quads to push and pull you - which are some of the largest muscles in your body.

Move the large muscles = you burn lots of calories. Try to keep your heart rate at a moderate level. 60-70% max. If you are over this, you will end up burning sugars, rather than fats. Start slow! 15 minutes a day for the first 3 days, then step it up to 20 minutes a day for 3 days

until you can reach 30-45 minutes. Optimal time is around 45 minutes to an hour.

  3. Best time to Work out is in the Morning ( i always work out b4 i eat )

When you Work out in the mornings it boost your metabolism and helps you burn more cals all through out the day while you do normal stuff

  4. If your goal is to loss weight, Bike before you eat, but be sure once your done biking, eat IMMEDIATELY!

no 30 minutes in between, get food in your system ASAP.

However, you should start with 30-45 minutes minimum when biking, and really push yourself. If you just laddy daddy s***w around, you not giving your heart a workout. 10 Minutes isn't going to cut it, nor is 20. You don't have to kill yourself with a workout, but 30 minutes is what I recommend.

    Good luck!

  5. I agree with Horacio, although noone knows for sure which is better, I think if you go to bed after dinner, and you dont workout, yur body sleeps and starts to store all those calories you ate during the day, but if you do a long bike ride after dinner, your body has less calories to store, and hence you actually burn calories as you sleep.  Also I think if you exercise in the morning, it makes you hungrier during the day, and you eat way more calories than you need, because you justify it by saying that  "well I worked out this morning"

  6. i suggest after...maybe in the evening....think about it, you gain weight because calories. if you want to decrease your calorie count you need to burn off whatever calories you already had...if you eat on an empty stomach you wouldnt have burned any calories and would probably get tired fast...also try doing what is called planks, these help restore you core muscles on your stomach...

  7. Always workout AFTER having a light meal so you can give your muscles the energy they need to perform whatever workout you are about to begin. Nothing fancy, some fruit like orange, a banana or kiwi, or yogurt, then of course at least 2 glasses of water since it is summer :) Good luck

  8. Try to make the exercise a morning ritual. Try a small glass of orange juice or run some fruit through the blender before you start you stretches (you are stretching, right?) to give your body some expendable energy for the workout. Bear in mind, it's takes 25-30 minutes of consistent aerobic workout before the average body begins to burn through fat reserves. So make that a goal to work up to, and don't be disappointed if you don't see immediate results.

After the workout, eat breakfast as close to immediately as possible. Anything with simple sugars (juice or syrup) will temporarily elevate your blood sugar, telling your body that it's okay to burn through more fat reserves because there is more energy coming in. Eat a slow digesting carb, like oatmeal, to make you full on less, and give you consistent energy to work off of all morning.

With your metabolism being elevated, you will naturally want to eat more, so keep on eye on what you eat and how much, but don't starve yourself either.

Side note, don't worry abour your husband replacing you; your motivation for this should be yourself, looking and feeling healthier for you, because you're worth it. That should help keep you motivated. Best of luck!
