  1. October through March even though mine are mating now.

  2. If you live in the U.K. The season starts from mid October  till  April,

at present the birds are moulting and they should not be allowed to breed,

Most exhibition breeders wait till the 2nd week in December to start their birds breeding.

  3. any time you place a box with them, although hook bills like them breed best in winter months.

  4. In captivity, you can breed them year round as long as you provide sufficient full spectrum lighting to simulate a long day and plenty of food. The long hours and plenty of food basically trick them into thinking that the season is right and there will be food for a while.

  5. Hi,

Budgies will breed all year round but personally i only breed mine during the summer months as the weather is good and theres plenty of daylight to raise the chicks. I do how ever know people who breed budgies during the winter months but you need them indoors and in a heated and lite birdroom in order to bring them in to breeding condition.

  6. the summer time like june through july thats wen my parakeets mates a lot
