LONDON-SINGAPORE - I want to book flights around the 18th, but it seems very expensive - anyone know what dates are cheapest/most expensive?

I flew on Christmas Day once to Singapore - not sure of it was cheaper but the aeroplane was empty! Was great! I had 3 seats to myself!

  1. Flights around Christmas are going to be expensive because that is when everyone will be traveling.  Christmas Day would be your best bet because most people want to be with family on Christmas morning.

  2. Looking purely at Singapore Airlines, 18th or earlier is slightly cheaper than 19th to 23rd. 24th onwards gets a lot cheaper.

You're right, Christmas Day flights tend to be undersubscribed and therefore ought to be slightly cheaper.
