When is the earliest I can get LASIK?

What is the minimum age for someone to get LASIK? I'm joining the military after High School and I really would rather not have to deal with any more contacts or glasses, so please tell me.

I've heard 18 at the youngest on these boards, but all places I contacted generally said at least 21 with a stable prescription for at least 2-3 years.

18, but you might be able to get it at 17 if you are super lucky. Just because your "calender" age isn't 18 years old doesn't mean that your "body" age is 17. I know this answer is dumb...
