I'm 13 and I really want them. My teeth are crooked, and I want the fixed. But, I've only lost the first 12 in front. I know they say that you should loose all of them first though. Could I still get them? Thanks!

  1. I still had 4 teeth to lose when I got them, you might just have to keep them on until all your teeth are out and your adult teeth are completely in.

  2. Well i had a freind in second grade who had full on braces. I'm 12 now and i want braces too!

  3. You have to loose all your teeth. I have them now, and ive lost them all. and its not something you really want. its something you may need, but once you get them you DONT want them. you cant eat chips, pizza or anything! and the first 2 weeks is h**l. pure h**l. it hurts soooo bad. but if you do get them neon green and midnight blue are pretty colors. hope i helped! lol!

  4. When you're mostly done losing your teeth .

Just ask your orthodontist about it .

I'm 13 too , and I asked if i could get them a month ago and he said he would do the molds and see from there ,

and within a week I got the molds and he called me back to talk about braces .

I unfortunately have to wait until I'm 15 because I need Jaw surgery   :(

  5. i think they usually like to wait until most of the baby teeth have fallen out...i remmeber some of my friend got them when they were in grade 4/5

it alll depends on what your dentist and ortho think

if youre 13...i definetly wouldnt say thats too young!

  6. You could start anytime from around age 10 and up.  It is highly recommended that you loose all your teeth before starting because it makes the whole process much easier instead of having to wait for your teeth to fall out and having to skip bracketing that one.  I still had a few teeth to loose before I started, but they managed to install them.  After I lost them, then I was able to finally fully install my braces and it turned out fine in the end.

    Good luck!!

I hope this helped a bit.
