When is the last time 'leading indicators' have been accurate?

I'm dead certain when the numbers come in they will be completely erroneous.

Really, I've been noticing for some time the leading indicators are always more optimistic than the final accounting. So what's the point.

You can't look at them as a true point predictor only as an indicator to trends
