  1. It's called the Summer Solstice.

    This year, it will happen on June 20.


  2. For most of the Northern Hemisphere, the day of the year with the most sunlight would be the Summer Solstice, usually on June 21 or 22.

    There are some parts of the Northern Hemisphere, above the Arctic Circle, where the sun never sets for a few days around this time - technically that's 24 hours of sunlight.
