When is the most fertile time?

I am pretty sure I am ovulating right now, I have the cramps and stuff, is this the time I am most fertile, or is it a few days after these ovulating cramps? I should know I have one son already, but he was a surprise and now that we are planning our #2 it's like a whole new world! I'd love tips!

In a "perfect" 28 day cycle you should ovulate on day 14.  This should be your day of peak fertility.  Keep in mind though that you are actually fertile from the time that your egg leaves your ovary until the time it is shed from your body or reabsorbed.  This time can be as fast a 2 to 3 days for some women but can last as many as 7 to 19 days.

If you are TTC most fertility Drs are going to recommend that you have intercourse EVERY OTHER DAY from day 11 to day 19 of your cycle.  I hope that you have fairly regular cycles as this really helps to determine your peak fertility opportunities.

You are most fertile about half way through your cycle. If you have already ovulated you are fertile for a couple of days.
