When is the new f1 game coming out?

There hasn't been a new one for ages, I doubt another one will come out for PS2. I think codemasters, the people who make the Colin McRare rally games are making one for PS3/ PC.

I would like a new f1 game like F1 career challenge where you could take part in multiple seasons ( 1999- 2002 in F1 career challenge). With PS3 technology & memroy they could do 1998- 2008, that would be cool.

If you havent got F1 career challenge, I would recomend it, its old now but stilla great game and would only be about £5 used.

Hopefully soon.  Sony lost the rights so hopefully the next iteration will be available on Xbox as well.  They really should come out with a new one every 2 years that covers the proceeding 2 years imo because a yearly update is just too much.

Grand Prix Legends is an awesome game too.  Hope they update that with another historic season.

I dont know but I hope so!  What angered me about the last F1 game was the oil spots or whatever they were.  The other cars seemed to drive right thru them at full speed while you would spin out.  And you never knew where they were going to be.

SONY need to consider a few things when brining out a new game. Presumably it will only be available on PSP and PS3. First of all I would welcome uploadable content to the game. I cannot justify buying a new game every year just to get a few tweaks here and there. Make the game good and if they get that right all we need to do is have the uploadable content i.e. New drivers, teams, liveries, evolutions of car etc. If it mean't paying a little bit more to have this feature and not having to buy a new game every year I'd be up for it.

The Career mode has also been quite successful and think it should be included in the next game too.

Also, the ability to create your own car, team, livery should be an option too. F1 05 had the Eye Toy feature which I think should be reintroduced.

Online play very important too. Basically a game that can evolve through downloadable upgrades rather than buying a new game each year is the main thing that should be looked at.
