The next lunar eclipse visible from the eastern U.S.A. will be the partial eclipse on 26th June 2012, but it will only just be beginning by moonset, so it will be relatively unfavourable. Much better will be the total lunar eclipse on 21st December 2012, the whole of which will be visible from the U.S.A.

The next solar eclipse visible in the U.S.A. will be on 20th May 2012, but that won't be visible on the extreme east coast. The next solar eclipse visible on the east coast will be on 3rd November 2013.
