uv recently had olympics in the USA so it is unlikely to be for a while but the only one set at the moment is London in 2012! :)

I know a lot of Americans are going to hate me for saying this, but I hope it isn't for a while.  There are hundreds of countries out there, and the U.S. already has had quite a lot of chances to host.  I really wish all countries get a chance to host sometime and give their people a taste of the Olympic tradition.

But for your question, for the Summer Olympics, it's 2016 at the earliest.

2012 in london

2014 in sochi, RUSSIA

and 2016 are bidding between tokyo, madrid, rio de janiero, and chicago.

I personally hope were not in japan. Spain? Brazil?

Chicago is one of the cities trying to get the 2016 games.  Here is a list of the other four and how they were ranked by the IOC.

Tokyo, Japan - Tokyo 2016 Olympic bid—score 8.3

Madrid, Spain - Madrid 2016 Olympic bid—score 8.1

Chicago, United States - Chicago 2016 Olympic bid—score 7.0

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic bid—score 6.4

They are set to make their decision October 2nd 2009

London will host 2012 also.

No future Olympics are planned for the USA at this point.  The 2012 Olympics will be in London.  The location of the 2016 games will be announced in 2009.  There are four cities in the running and one is Chicago, Illinois, USA.

2016 would be the next possible time for the US to host the olympics.  They 2012 Olympics are being held in London.
