I know that the ozone hole is over Antarctica, but when is it most noticeable??

  1. There is no "hole" in the ozone layer. Its more like a thinning. This event is seasonal occurring mostly during Antarctic winter due to the upper atmosphere receiving less energy from the sun and reducing the ozone producing reactions.
