I'm trying to plan a trip to the bahamas but I can't figure out when the "off season" is, when the prices might be a bit lower and it won't be as crowded, but I can't figure it out, can anyone help? I know when the hurricane season is though, june 1st to november 30th right?

  1. Shelley gave you the correct information. She lives in Nassau.

The only thing, no one mention is from 8/21/08 to 10/29/08 Atlantis is having a fall escape. Something to check out but keep in mind, that it's still hurricane season. Bahamas may not get a hurricane but if a storm comes cruising through, you'll get the rain.

I have traveled August, Sept and October and with only one exception did I have to change my plans. If you go just make sure you take out travel insurance that covers weather. This way you don't lose any $$$.

    Enjoy and good luck)

  2. Off season is the 2nd week of January to Presidents Week in February.

From 2 weeks after easter to the second week in June, and from the Last week in August until the week preceding Thanksgiving.

There are also the first 2 weeks in December where pricing goes down.

Most of the time you have to wait until the season is nearby for the prices to drop.
