When is the right time to tent a house for termites?

I have a termite problem and am in the middle of a full house renovation. Should I tent the house before or after completing renovations?

That might depend on how bad the termite problem is.  If they are eating your house like a buffet, you might want to get it tented right away.  If it is a minor problem you might be able to wait until the renovation is finished and then protect the entire house.

Before as it will get deep down since the walls and stuff are open. After you tent it though, you need to put down termite stakes in order to prevent another infestation. You just pull them up every couple of months and if some of the food is missing, you simply replace it. You can get the pest control people to do it but it will cost you but you can do it yourself for about $50 at the home improvement store.
